Detailing is the name given to the treatment, protection and correction of your car’s bodywork and interior. It is a higher level of service than valeting and is most commonly used with reference to machine polishing, which can remove defects such as swirl marks, marring, minor scratches and dull, lifeless paintwork. The range of detailing services varies greatly, depending on the type of correction needed and/or the level of protection one wishes to apply to the bodywork. Therefore, at IR Mobile valeting and detailing we have a variety of options to suit all budgets, from a simple spruce up of the bodywork, to paint correction and new car protection. Specialist Ceramic Coatings Regular car washing, waxing and sealing is a tremendously effective way of maintaining the condition of your car and adding many months of solid protection to its bodywork. But if you are on the look out for an even higher grade of protection, IR Mobile valeting and detailing offers several market-leading coatings which can be added to any new car protection detail or detailing package.View Packages
Each of our detailing packages includes the following preparation stages.
Ceramic Shield is a professional product which is ONLY supplied to Detailers who have attended training and assessment here in the UK. In order to maintain the exclusivity of Kenolon Ceramic Shield, only a very limited number of UK applicators throughout the country will be entitled to apply the coating, and it will NOT be on sale to the general public. Kenolon is a ceramic coating that is invisible but resistant. It’s protective against all external polluting attacks such as traffic dirt, insects, acid rain, salt and UV-rays. Thanks to years of experience and a highly developed R&D department, it guarantees you the best protection on the market. This coating is applied following a particular procedure by Certified Detailers only. The water-repellent effect of Kenolon Ceramic Shield ensures that dust and dirt are less likely to cling to the car. Traditional paint protection products based on synthetic wax or polymers do not guarantee measurable thickness, they remain on the paint until they disappear through degradation by the sun, acid rain and degreasing detergents. If you want a coating for your car that has features such as durable effective protection and ease of use, than Kenolon Ceramic Shield is the right choice for you! Thanks to the special composition of this product based on silicon dioxide (SIO2), your vehicle is protected and looks fantastic for a long time. It enhances the hardness of the paintwork with a protective layer tested up to 9H on the MOHS scale. This protection will also ensure that micro scratches and swirls are less likely to occur. By adding the Kenolon Ceramic Shield treatment you are assured long-term protection.
Opti-Coat Pro Ceramic Coating is a hard wearing, after-market, ceramic clear coat for superior resistance to scratching (9H) and chemical etching from environmental impacts. It provides permanent protection for all factory paints, and can also be applied to exterior glass, metal and hard plastic surfaces. Whereas many ceramic coatings are based upon Silica Dioxide (Si02) technology – which is itself highly effective at protecting bodywork – Opti-Coat Pro Ceramic Coating utilises Silica Carbide (SiC), one of the most durable coatings available, and indeed based upon the same technology as ceramic brakes. Opti-Coat Pro Ceramic Coating is not a wax or sealant like other products on the market. It is a ceramic clear coating very similar to factory type clear coats. A layer of Opti-Coat Pro Ceramic Coating measures approximately 2 microns in thickness, or about 100 times thicker than your typical wax or sealant. Unlike paint protection sealants such as PTFE or Nano Sealants that degrade over time and are easily removed through washing with water or chemicals, Opti-Coat Pro Ceramic Coating does not degrade and cannot be removed by chemicals such as heavy duty truck wash or even caustic degreasers. It is totally resistant to these chemicals and produces a permanent film that is chemically bonded with the factory paint layers. The 2 micron layer also provides a thick buffer between any damage and the factory paintwork.
Providing the very latest in car paint protection, Bodyfence is specifically engineered to provide extreme resistance to scratches and stone chips, coupled with high transparency and self-healing/self-cleaning properties. It’s easy to clean, almost transparent and will add a superb layer of gloss and protection to your vehicle – new or old – and what’s more, it comes with a seven year guarantee against fading and yellowing (a common fault in early forms of vinyl protection).
